EU strategy on radicalisation and recruitment
An EU strategy for addressing radicalisation and recruitment has been developed. The EU will support the member states’ national measures. Some measures are more effective if taken at European level – measures such as dealing with the promotion of radicalisation by Internet sites and satellite broadcasters and cooperating with non-EU countries. We will start implementing this strategy during the Austrian presidency in the first half year of 2006. The Netherlandswill press for practical measures.
