Extended powers for Minister of Justice

It has been established by Royal Decree that the Minister of Justice has extended powers to prevent terrorist offences. This means that he has the authority to act in other ministers’ policy domains if a serious terrorist threat arises. The extended powers include evacuating buildings, blocking roads, halting rail and air traffic and freezing telecommunications in a certain region.
