The threat level against the Netherlands remains limited. Minister Hirsch Ballin (Justice and the Interior and Kingdom Relations) has concluded this in the Counterterrorism progress report which was sent to the parliament today.

The threat level for the Netherlands remains at the level of limited. This means that the chance of an attack against the Netherlands is small, but that it certainly cannot be entirely excluded.
Extra security measures at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

In 2005, in response to a change in European legislation, Schiphol changed the screening system for non-Schengen flights from centralised security checks (conducted before the subject reaches the departure lounge, after passport control) to decentralised security checks (conducted at the gate).
