Minister of Security and Justice Ivo Opstelten today officially opened the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). The Centre will develop and provide expertise and advice, support and carry out responses to threats and incidents, and strengthen crisis management.

The international Clean IT project recently launched its first workshop in Amsterdam. A mix of public and private organizations was present to discuss the illegal use of internet. The Clean IT project is initiated by the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain and is partly funded by the European Commission.
