What information is required for person-specific intervention to be carried out?

First, the persons for whom person-specific intervention is appropriate are selected by  the Counterterrorism Information Centre (CT Infobox), which is a joint operation of:

  • the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD)
  • the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND)
  • the National Police Services Agency (KLPD)
  • the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD)
  • the Public Prosecution Service (OM).

The Centre assesses what measures the partners concerned can and should take. As well as recommending person-specific intervention, the Centre can also recommend criminal proceedings, the application of aliens legislation, further intelligence gathering – or a combination of these measures.
