When will measures be taken?
Measures will only be taken within an economic sector if there is a specific reason for doing so. The NCTb prepares risk assessments mainly on the basis of information from the intelligence services. A heightened risk of attack constitutes a reason to take more stringent measures. In such cases, the Minister of Security and Justice can announce a higher level of alert, and measures associated with that particular level will then be implemented. The more that is known about the time and location of a possible attack, the more serious and specific these measures become.
